  • 80x60 (4,800 pixel) resolution
  • FLIR MSX® image enhancement mode for razor-sharp thermal images
  • Measures from 14°F to 302°F
  • Smaller than today's smartphones making it easy to slip into your shirt pocket
  • Bright 3” intuitive touch screen with auto orientation for landscape or portrait mode views
  • Thermal images don't need light, but the FLIR C2 has an LED lamp for the visual image
  • The 41° x 31° wide angle lens is perfect for building and industrial applications
  • After you take your images, you can download them directly into FLIR Tools Software for PC or MAC
  • FLIR’s unique 2-10 warranty, covering parts and labor for two years and the detector for ten

It has an 80x60 resolution, which gives you 4,800 pixels of temperature information.

It has very good thermal sensitivity. This is especially important when looking objects close to ambient temperature, so you can see the subtle differences.

It has MSX® real time image enhancement. This gives the FLIR C2 thermal imaging camera very sharp images for it's resolution.

It has a wide field of view. At 41° x 31° this will give you a view of approximately 3.9ft x 2.9ft and a spot size of about 0.29in x 0.29in from 5 feet away.

The FLIR C2 thermal imaging camera also produces true radiometric JPEGS. You can import the images you take into the included FLIR Tools software and then see the different temperatures throughout the image.

What are some other cool features of the FLIR C2 thermal imaging camera?

  • It's compact. I mean REALLY compact. It looks like a smart phone. My phone is actually bigger than the C2.
  • It has an LED lamp on the front. So, not only does it make a handy flashlight, it also takes bright visual images in dark areas.
  • The FLIR C2 thermal camera also auto-rotates the image, depending on how you hold the camera. It can make either landscape or portrait images.
  • The 3" screen is big and bright. Even better? It's also a touch-screen, so it makes the FLIR C2 easy to use.
  • The C2 comes with FLIR’s unique 2-10 warranty, covering parts and labor for two years and the detector for ten. Not really cool, but good to know.

How does the FLIR C2 see heat?

The ability to “see” heat with a thermal camera way creates an entirely new level of awareness for both professionals and consumers, allowing them to find problems they may have missed before. The benefit is a non-destructive, more efficient, and more reliable way to troubleshoot that provides persuasive thermal images to help make the case for repairs and verify that work has been done correctly. This adds high visual impact to a building professional’s reports and marketing materials, and, of course, increases the contractor’s diagnostic credibility, which always makes good business sense.

Everything around you either emits or reflects heat energy. So when you look around a home with the FLIR C2, its thermal images can show you where doors and windows may not be properly weatherized and are leaking cold or warm air (depending on the season). You may also see a section of an outside wall that appears considerably cooler during winter months, indicating voids where insulation is missing or improperly installed. You might see a dimmer switch or electrical breaker that’s much warmer than it should safely be indicating a pending problem or overloaded circuit. Or you might want to look for the subtle temperature differences in images that reveal potential signs of hidden moisture in walls, floors and ceilings. The list of uses is long and will grow dramatically as customers discover this unseen portion of the electromagnetic spectrum.

Applications for FLIR C2 Compact Thermal Imaging System

See What You’ve Been Missing!

Save thermal image JPEGs instantly, then conveniently adjust and analyze them later with FLIR® Tools to isolate temperature measurements on any pixel and create convincing reports.

Now, FLIR takes thermal imaging up another innovative notch with MSX® (Multi-Spectral Dynamic Imaging), bringing together the key elements of what you can see with your own eyes and what you can only perceive with an infrared camera to form one striking, definitive image. So there’s no more guesswork or messing around with extra photos.
